Presentation

A child, even a very young one, is able to listen to music with astonishingly close attention. It is up to us to draw him even closer, and create the relationship that feels most natural to him without the need for extra entertainment, musical simplification or visual stimuli.

The format of this concert is based on the research of E. E. Gordon; it offers an authentically artistic musical experience to the children. The musicians perform instrumental and vocal pieces, without extra entertainment; the children can freely express their emotions and their curiosity during the concert. Parents, caregivers, teachers and older children will be encouraged to join in singing vocal accompaniment during some of the pieces performed by the musicians.

The musicians are positioned around the public in an open formation interacting with children through musical improvisation, which initiates from the spontaneous vocal responses of the children to the music they hear.
